Time Is A Thief

Time is a Thief is a reflection on the fleeting nature of memory and the pace of modern life. As I worked through this painting, I allowed fragments—moments, symbols, and passing impressions—to surface organically. What emerged felt almost cosmic, as though a monument or familiar structure—perhaps even the White House—floated through space and time, half-remembered, half-imagined. This piece became my way of grappling with how the digital age compresses our perception of time. Since the rise of the internet, every hour feels like a second; days race by like minutes. A decade dissolves into something barely distinguishable from a month. In that acceleration, what are we losing? What remains? The process was intuitive and instinctual—an emotional excavation. The work itself found its name only after it spoke for itself. Time is a Thief reminds us that in every moment passed, something is taken… and something else is revealed.
