Kissed by Spirits

Kissed by Spirits is a quiet invocation—an emotional tether to my mother, who now resides just beyond the visible world. As I painted, I found myself returning to moments we shared, trying to understand what she meant by certain glances, certain silences. There’s a sense she’s still near—not gone, just shifted—somewhere on the other side, but still intimately close. This piece isn’t just an image; it’s a presence. Each gesture on the canvas is like a whisper, a trace of connection that defies time and space. It is grief softened by longing, memory made visible. It’s the ache and comfort of still feeling someone who isn’t here… and yet, somehow, is.
