Our Day Will Come

This painting stands as one of my most layered and introspective creations—an exploration of the what, how, and why of the artistic process itself. I approached it with a commitment to push every boundary, embracing techniques from impasto and sgraffito to dripping, pouring, blending, and dry brushwork. The surface became a landscape of experimentation—each texture a reflection of internal shifts. What began as chaos slowly unraveled into moments of clarity. Unlike works that arrive quickly, this one refused to be rushed. I turned it backward more times than I can count, letting it speak to me while I waited to understand what it needed—and what I needed too. In surrendering to the rhythm of creation, I returned to a familiar anchor: faith and hope. Through that, the painting became not just an image but an affirmation—a sincere acknowledgment of imperfection, of trying, of believing. Our Day Will Come is more than a title; it's a quiet promise woven into every stroke.
