The Soul Provider
The Soul Provider emerged from a place of instinct and emotional response. Each mark on the canvas began as a direction—tentative at first—but quickly grew into a dialogue of strokes, each movement demanding a reply from the next. As the painting evolved, I began to see the interconnectedness of forms—distinct yet inseparable, like twins born of the same breath, merging into a singular voice. This piece followed a period of soul searching, as I grappled with the essence of what abstraction truly means. For me, this work was about stripping away representation—no figures, no forms to lean on—only the movement of paint, the interplay of light and shadow, and the courage to let that be enough. Despite its visual simplicity, this painting is rich in internal tension. It reflects the journey of creation as a quiet act of providing—giving meaning, offering connection, and holding space for the unknown to become known. As always, the title came only when the work itself felt settled—like a truth finally spoken aloud.
