More than a Fantasy invites the viewer into a layered conversation—one that stretches beyond surface into the emotional terrain of lived experience. This work is a reflection on the tension between chaos and harmony, offering a visual meditation on what it means to find balance amidst complexity. Music served as my muse—its rhythms and lyrics unearthing truths about life, purpose, and perception. Those revelations are embedded here in the techniques and materials I chose with intention: pastel strokes softened by memory, bursts of primary color asserting presence, and forms buried beneath veils of pigment that hint at indigenous echoes and ancestral memory. Each layer is both concealment and revelation. The painting doesn’t just speak—it listens, provokes, and asks the viewer to excavate meaning. It’s a reminder that what appears fantastical often carries the deepest truths. More than a Fantasy is not an illusion. It’s an offering.
